Alissar Caracalla / choreographer
Alissar is one of the leading independent young choreographers of the Middle East who has been able to use a unique dance style blending the oriental identity with the disciplines of modern techniques. In addition to founding her own “L’art de Danse” dance school in Lebanon teaching all different dance styles, she has created her own dance company “Orientalist Dance Company” which under her direction has performed and been involved in several projects, most notable a performance at Louvres in 2001, master choreographer for over 200 dancers for the opening ceremony of Dubai Shopping festival 2002, and most recently “IBN SINA” opera in Qatar. |
Betty Tawtel / drama coach
Betty holds a diploma in scenic studies from the IESAV, a bachelor degree in dramatic writing and a master degree in theatrical studies. She participated in the Euro - Mediterranean cultural workshop in Spain and she presented the 3rd ceremony of Beirut film festival in 1999. In October 1999, she obtained a special mention for film BOUM of Maliha BADER. Betty is a teacher of theatre, actress in several theatrical and televised parts and director for several plays. With her credit also more than thirty short films for young Lebanese directors. |

March 26, 1966 Dallas - Texas Georges Assaf is a physical fitness degree holder; he graduated from centenary college Los Angeles - USA. He worked as a trainer in big sport clubs. Holder of several fitness degrees from YMCA, FITNESS WORLD, and CIRCUIT TRAINING, he managed important health clubs in Lebanon. He is newly wed, currently working as a personal trainer for several clubs and for politicians, social people, artists and celebrities as well. |

Michel Fadel has accomplished his professional training at Boulogne (Billancourt) academy as well as at the National supérieur de Musique de Beyrouth academy. He performed as a pianist with Fairuz during the concert of Quatar in 2002. World Champion of the category “composer” in Hollywood, he won the first prize for the childhood year occasion. Michel is a composer of many sound tracks, advertisements, cartoons and short films. |

Oussama Rahbani / music culture
Oussama Rahbani is the youngest son of Mansour Rahbani who is one of the legendary Rahbani Brothers. He was born in Lebanon on December 9 1965. Growing up in the Rahbani household, music was a big part of Oussama's life from very early on . From age 8, he studied piano and music theory with the renowned teacher Hagop Arslanian. He got heavily into the works of classical composers Stravinsky, Mozart and Mahler. Another great area of interest for Oussama was film music .He was fascinated by the work of composers John Williams, Bernard Herman, Miklos Rosza and Ennio Morricone to name a few. Between 1986 and 1989, he was a member of the Beirut band "Jazz Gate". The group put together a series of successful concerts like the "History of Jazz" concert in 1987 and the "Winter Concert 89". |
Sawsan Wazzan Jabri / nutritionist
Mrs. Sawsan
Wazzan Jabri is an AUB graduate 1981 and holder of a master degree in
Nutrition and Dietetics. Along with her husband, she launched the first
nutrition and diet center in Beirut in 1990.Continuous success led to the
opening of franchises in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Kuwait and Qatar. |
Wadih Abi Raad / rehearsal coach
Wadih Abi Raad is a holder of several opera degrees in Bulgaria and Italy. He held many opera concerts in Bulgaria, Italy, France, Dubai and Beirut. In October 2003, he won the Special encouragement prize 2003 awarded by Raina KABAIVANSKA FOUNDATION in Bulgaria. His technical experiences are related to big names and titles such as: Haydn, Mozart and local music plays with the Rahbany’s. |
Roula Saad / president
Roula's personality might be the primary incentive for her taking the tough challenge of being the president of the Academy. She herself said that she lives for challenges. Another incentive for taking such a challenge is her highly distinguished long experience in the field of television as the head of the promotion department at the Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation LBCI. In her repertoire are all the promotional video clips produced on the occasion of the annual anniversary of LBCI.
